MEETING SATURDAY AUGUST 16TH, 2008 - OPEN TO ALL

- There will be a team
meeting Saturday August 16th at 1pm at Applebees on 4th
St in St Pete (4700 4th St North). This meeting is
open to everyone, existing players as well as new
players. Please attend and help plan for the
2008-2009 season.
FLL
LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS MARCH 8TH AND 9TH
Mar. 3rd, 2008
- The FLL league
championships will be in
Weston, Florida
March 8th and 9th. The Thunder will
face Jacksonville on Saturday at 4pm, then with a win
will face Ft Lauderdale at 7pm. A win vs Ft Lauderdale
on Saturday with then send the Thunder to the
championship game on Sunday at noon to face either
Hogtowne, Palm Beach, or Miami. A loss at any time
will end the Thunder's season.
THUNDER ENDS REGULAR SEASON AS CENTRAL CONFERENCE CHAMPS
Mar. 1st, 2008
- The Thunder finishes the
2008 regular season as the Central Conference Champions,
with a conference record of 4 - 0. The Thunder
also finishes the regular season as the number 3 seed
going into the playoffs and will face Jacksonville in
the first round at 4pm March 8th in Weston, FL.
Playoff seedings - 1. Hogtowne, 2. Ft Lauderdale, 3.
Tampa Bay, 4. Palm Beach, 5. Miami, 6.
Jacksonville.
PRACTICES MOVE TO MEADOWLAWN FIELD JANUARY 8TH
Jan. 3rd, 2008
- Thunder practices will be
moving to Meadowlawn field Tuesday January 8th and will
only practice on Tuesday nights for the remainder of the
season. Practice time is 8:30pm. Full details can be
found under the "Practice Schedule" link in the left
column. A one-time Thursday practice will be held
at Meadowlawn on January 3rd at 9:00pm
THUNDER DEFEATS ORLANDO 16-11 IN HOME OPENER
Sept. 30th, 2007
- The Thunder held off a
tough Orlando team en route to a 16-11 victory on Sunday
at home. With the Thunder leading 12-8 mid way
through the 4th quarter, Orlando scored two goals to
tighten the score at
12-10 before a late rally by the Thunder
finished the game with a 16-11 victory.
Next up
for the Thunder is at home in Bradenton against Ft Myers
next Sunday at 2pm; field
directions.
THUNDER OPENS SEASON UP AT HOME VS ORLANDO 9/30/07
Sept. 29th, 2007
- The Thunder will open the
2007-2008 season up at home against Orlando on September
30th at 2:00pm at Sawgrass Field.
FIRST PRACTICE SEPTEMBER 13TH 8:30PM IN ST PETE

- The first practice of the
2007-2008 season will be Thursday September 13th at
8:30pm at Sawgrass Field in St Pete.

2007-2008 GAME SCHEDULE POSTED
Sept. 9th, 2007
- The 2007-2008 game
schedule was announced today at the FLL league meeting
and is posted on the Thunder website. More games
will be added as the season progresses. More
information on the 2007-2008 season will also be posted
shortly and emailed to the Thunder list.
2007-2008 SEASON PLANNING UNDERWAY
Aug. 1st, 2007
- Planning for the 2007-2008
season begins this month after the addition of new board
members to the Thunder board. And to get the new
season rolling, a preseason meeting will be announced
shortly for all interested players. At that time
the Thunder practice schedule will be announced, which
will begin some time in mid September. In addition
to the Thunder team meeting, the league meeting will be
held on September 9th in Orlando, which is when the
official game schedule will be announced.
